SAKE
Sake, also known as “rice wine,” is a malt liquor made from fermented rice and water and is deeply rooted in the tradition and culture of Japan. The process of brewing sake was first recorded in the 3rd century AD . However, it is believed that sake can be traced further back to the 3rd century BC , at around the same time that wet rice cultivation was introduced. Sake is not about the complexity and combination of many flavors, but about the natural balance of a few ideal raw ingredients. At Poleng, we focus mainly on boutique batches of brewed sake for higher quality.
